da prosport bet: The coming transfer window looks set to be an enormous one for Manchester United following the appointment of Jose Mourinho, who was confirmed as their new manager last Friday.
da 888casino: Indeed, winning domestic and European titles has gone hand-in-hand with mega transfer budgets throughout the Portuguese’s managerial career and some sources claim he could be handed as much as £270million this summer.
Of course, new signings mean a host of departures and after three incredibly underwhelming seasons at Old Trafford, the United squad needs a drastic overhaul anyway.
At the same time, failure to qualify for the Champions League after finishing the 2015/16 Premier League campaign in fifth place could see a few of the club’s top performers push for moves away.
In fact, so many players could leave United this summer for a variety of reasons that we’ve been able to create a select Xi out of them. So without further ado, here’s a look at the Red Devils’ transfer bound XI!
GOALKEEPER – DAVID DE GEA
Manchester United may not have much of a choice with this one. Jose Mourinho’s presence does give them a decent chance of holding onto David De Gea this summer, but Real Madrid’s long-standing interest in the Spain international continues to linger in the background – especially amid rumours his contract includes a £30million release clause. Los Blancos boast a more than talented No.1 in Keylor Navas, but performances at EURO 2016 could convince them to swoop for the 25-year-old.
RIGHT BACK – ANTONIO VALENCIA
Antonio Valencia’s transition from winger to full-back has rendered him not particularly good at either. Although Jose Mourinho will appreciate the Ecuador international’s physicality and experience, he doesn’t fit the Special One’s usual template of largely functional players who know the fundamentals of their respective positions. With his contract due to expire at the end of next season, the coming summer window is the most logical time for United to sell – and The Sun claim Valencia is already on Mourinho’s exit list.
CENTRE-BACK – PHIL JONES
Phil Jones has suffered an almighty fall from grace since being coveted by then-Real-Madrid-boss Jose Mourinho back in 2011. Indeed, not long ago the England international was being billed as one of the most exciting home-grown talents of his generation but injury problems and underwhelming form have seen him excluded from Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad. Mourinho might be prepared to stick it out with the versatile 24-year-old for another season, but he’d certainly be open to selling if the right bid comes along.
CENTRE-BACK – DALEY BLIND
Rumour has it Jose Mourinho is already looking to offload Daley Blind, deeming him physically ill-equipped to continue his current berth as centre-back partner to Chris Smalling. That being said, it seems almost impossible the Portuguese won’t be able to find some use for one of the most tactically flexible and intelligent footballers in Europe, but Barcelona are allegedly eyeing the Dutch utility man and a move to the Nou Camp would undoubtedly appeal to him.
LEFT BACK – MARCOS ROJO
There’s just something about Marcos Rojo that appears to be the exact antithesis of the Jose Mourinho ethos. The Portuguese is certainly not adverse to full-backs who can also play at centre-half – Branislav Ivanovic being the predominant example – but the 26-year-old is notably lightweight, liable defensively and often gets himself into trouble trying to play out of the back. Having not come close to hitting the heights expected since arriving from Sporting Lisbon at the cost of £16million, the timing feels right for the Argentina international to move on anyway.
DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD – BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER
Bastian Schweinsteiger has endured a difficult debut campaign at Old Trafford and with United in desperate need of a serious engine room overhaul, it could well be the German veteran who is swiftly moved on. Likewise, the World Cup winner is taking home a serious pay cheque but certainly hasn’t justified that in terms of game-time, managing just 13 starts in the Premier League. But not worth much on the transfer market at the age of 31, the former Bayern Munich star may get a stay of execution until the end of next season.
CENTRAL MIDFIELD – MAROUANE FELLAINI
Ever the pragmatist and always infusing a core of physicality into his starting Xis, I’m sure Jose Mourinho wouldn’t mind having Marouane Fellaini at his disposal next season – even if he uses the Belgian battering ram exclusively on a supersub basis. But there’s a worrying animosity between the towering midfielder and the United fan-base and after three underwhelming seasons at Old Trafford, the timing feels right for the former Everton ace to move on. The Sun claim the Portuguese has already sanctioned Fellaini’s departure.
CENTRAL MIDFIELD – ANDER HERRERA
Deemed an unappreciated genius by some and massively overrated by others, Ander Herrera’s sporadic contributions to Louis van Gaal’s tenure have always divided opinion. But the Spaniard has failed to claim a consistent role in the starting Xi since his 2014 arrival and just isn’t your typical Mourinho player – a little lightweight and lacking natural dynamism for a central midfielder. Likewise, United need to make room for fresh blood (not to mention Wayne Rooney) in their midfield next season.
RIGHT WING – JUAN MATA
Very much the inspiration for this select Xi, Juan Mata’s days at Old Trafford appear to be numbered. Jose Mourinho infamously sold the Spaniard to Manchester United in January 2014 just six months after claiming the Player of the Season award at Chelsea, citing a lack of natural athleticism and defensive naivety in key areas. The Portuguese won’t be building a Chelsea 2.0 at Old Trafford but nonetheless, the 28-year-old has already been deemed incompatible with his philosophy – especially as a wide player. Consequentially, a summer departure has already been suggested by the tabloids.

LEFT WING – ADNAN JANUZAJ
Adnan Januzaj has suffered an almighty fall from grace since exploding onto the scene under David Moyes during the 2013/14 campaign, spending the most of last season rotting in Borussia Dortmund’s reserves on loan. The Belgian prodigy still has plenty of time to make amends at the age of 21 but Jose Mourinho’s track record of developing young players – especially those of a more technical nature – isn’t exactly phenomenal. There are understandable doubts over Januzaj’s attitude and even if the Red Devils don’t sell this summer, another loan move seems more than likely.
[ad_pod id=’euro-2016′ align=’center’]
STRIKER – MEMPHIS DEPAY
Things could go from bad to worse for Memphis Depay this summer. That may seem impossible after a borderline abysmal first season at Manchester United but Jose Mourinho is not a fan of one-trick ponies who only look to drift inside and shoot (take Andre Schurrle, for example), especially if they don’t work hard for the rest of the team. The Netherlands international lacks that industriousness and even if his sizeable transfer fee stops United from selling this summer, it seems unlikely he’ll last long under Mourinho.
