da heads bet: Glasgow Rangers are now just over a week away from starting their new Premiership campaign.
da pinnacle: The Gers will travel to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen in their first game of the season as they look to start the new term in style. The Ibrox outfit finished second in the league last campaign after it was brought to a premature close, and as such they are still looking for their first major piece of silverware since 2011.
The campaign, of course, was ended following the outbreak of the current pandemic, and this season will present many different challenges. And it appears that the quest to complete the term without any major hiccups has just got an awful lot harder after it was confirmed that seven St. Mirren employees have tested positive for the virus.
In response, the SPFL released a statement confirming that clubs will now have to test players twice a week – this has attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters and, given the fact they have had their own issues with the governing body in recent months, they were far from happy with the statement – one fan even called it “absolutely clueless”. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
