da casino: Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno made a number of impressive saves on Thursday evening as the Gunners claimed a 3-0 win over Qarabag in the Europa League.
Although the scoreline might suggest that the game was fairly one-sided, it was anything but. The home side piled on the pressure in the first half after the Gunners took the lead in the fourth minute through defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Qarabag came close to finding an equaliser on a couple of occasions with Unai Emery’s men having Leno to thank for keeping the Azerbaijan outfit out.
The German had to be quick on his feet, making some superb saves after poor defending by the Arsenal defence. The second half was bit better for Leno but he would’ve taken a lot of confidence from that performance with the north London outfit facing their neighbours from the capital Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Arsenal fans however are pleased to see Leno performing well after first-choice keeper Petr Cech was ruled out for up to a month due to injury.
